Not sure yet, money is not an issue with a video card because my parents are paying for video card and case, lights, etc.

New problem, I just got my PC and relised theres no OS with it is there any way i can get an OS without paying because I have spent all my money on my computer and have none left to spend on an OS. I haven't got the CPU yet and want to know if it comes with a fan. Thanks for your help.

The retail cpu comes with a heatsink, and instructions on how to install it. You gotta buy your own os, nothing we can do to help you out.

^ free (as in beer) OS. there is (from what I understand) a wrapper program that pay a subscription for that will let you play some windows games.

WINE will play some DirectX games and is free, Cedage is a paid for one that will play a few more, but you seem like a WAY to bigger n00b to get linux running (sorry), and gaming under WINE frankly sucks

If you forgot to buy an OS you really are stupid, and if you spent all your money on such a bottlenecked PC, then "haha", of course, if only you hadn't ignored all of our advice...

hmmm. I don't game with linux. I game with the OS I spent over thirty bux for. (xp licensed through my school--the one that M$ got pissed about because people were...err...well, they *might* have been *potentially* installing working copies on their parents', their brothers', their friends' pc's under the same cd key...*hypothetically* of course.)

Volume license/no authentication: loverly for "volume" users!

But--back on the tangent of the topic that was previously tangentialized--I've heard *good* things about Cedega and new games, while I've heard good things about Wine and old ones.

Having used neither, I can only advocate getting work done under Linux (Ubuntu) and getting my LOTRO/BF2 fix under Windoze...unless you absolutely need a gaming OS right the farck now and are broke...in which Wine and Linux might...just...do...the...trickster...

...if you're patient.
