        Oh... sorry.... well that would be why. I misunderstood.

        Yeah Vista has DX10, but only Nvidia's 8xxx series are compatible with it at the moment. Its a very new technology. So if you buy a 7xxx series card, it will use DirectX 9c in games and in Windows.

            i see... well, i won't be bale to afford an 8 series thats for sure.... apart from upcoming games like crysis, i'm not so bothered - especially for bf2 as its possible to run it perfectly on dx9 anyway....
