Amd Is so much better than intel for gaming :P. Good choice there. although i do fear the quads cores coming out are a bit overkill xD

I would suggest to not go with an uber monitor and switch to Intel's Core 2 Duo series.

Actually, thats not really true. My xtx is more than capable at 1920x1200, and the 8800gtx is still more than powerful enough to handle it.

Yes I agree. That was actually my point, whether it was properly conveyed or not. Which further implies that 2 cards are NOT needed :) I was being conservative.

So, you can't afford the GTX which is only a couple hundred more dollars, but you are going to replace that expensive and very nice 22" monitor for an even more expensive 26"? I imagine that monitor will greatly exceed the cost of the GTX itself.

I think you have your priorities in reverse, you already have an incredible monitor. I have said all I can say as far as helping out and providing information, the rest is entirely your decision now. Choose wisely.
