Is there a big difference between intel c2d e6400 and intel c2d e6700? why is e6700 better?

The e6700 has a higher default clockspeed (2.66ghz, instead of 2.13), and double the l2 cache (4mb vs 2).

As long as your board supports C2D upgrading is as easy as plugging in a processor can be. No need to re-install OS or anything, just plug it in. E6400 is a good choice, IMO 4mb isn't worth the extra because there's hardly any performance difference. And it's the same core anyway.Comment
