Just finished watching The Amazing Spider-Man.
That was... certainly a motion picture with spoken dialogue.Comment

So, help my understanding, is that bad? Is the game title misleading?
By the way, where is that thread where you can post game screenshots? I always have lots of trouble with the search feature, it seems to find everything but what I want.Comment

I'm talking about the movie. I mentioned some of this on Twitter but here's the short of it. I liked it more than Spider-Man 3.
They need to completely do away with the stupid first-person segments and the slow motion (and that damn BRRRRRRRUUUUOOOOM sound that goes with it). A few parts did not make any sense, such as how getting shot in the leg suddenly hinders his ability to shoot web with any accuracy. Also, the fact that he needed cranes to traverse the distance from one building down a straight road that is LINED with tall buildings on the way to Oscorp? Just use the damn sides of the buildings! The CG was by and large quite terrible though Lizard looked decent enough half the time. I also did not like how Dr. Connor went from being a well meaning scientist who even sacrificed himself with the drug to ensure the vets didn't get injected, to suddenly being hell bent on creating some superior race of lizard men for no apparent reason.
I did, however, like this guy as Peter Parker/Spider-Man more than Maguire. Also, can't go wrong with Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy.
That thread is somewhere in the PC section I think.
Anyway... we all know my ongoing issues with Verizon, right? Right.

Needless to say, as someone who has to constantly download games or media for the site, or even upload videos to YouTube, my current situation is not a desirable one for the next week and a half until the new stuff arrives.Comment

Lol, It seems these providers share this common stupidity everywhere. We wanted to have internet on our college apartment, so we researched, chose the package we enjoyed the most, and decided to sign contract. While we were at it they were constantly trying to make us pay for higher and more expensive services. After three of four calls and lots of time of them giving us poor excuses(that unfortunately work on those who are oblivious) on why we should use the more expensive ones, they finally understood that we weren't falling for it and left us alone. Turned out, a week later, we switched to an even weaker and cheaper service because we weren't receiving half of the speed that we were paying for. Ah, and I don't even want to mention the support line guy who didn't know what portforwarding was. This was like the joke of the yearComment

After eight hours of struggling with the kinect on the pc, after reinstalling and installing every single available driver and driver versions on the internet, after resinstalling my usb ports countless times, after rebooting my pc for the 1000th time, I finally managed to fix a bug with my kinect by simply soing a system restore to before the problem started happening. Why do I never remember the easier solution sooner?Comment

I hate button phones. I got a cheap $10 Samsung phone from tracfone back in september and I keep Pocket dialing the emergency services. Except today it was worse because its got no credit. Twice they have called back and I can't answer. Why the hell do phone companies have to charge on BOTH ends for pre paid calls in this country?Comment

The CM for the doppelganger TGN wants to talk with me on the phone. Hooooooo boy, I don't think so.
1. I don't want to just shoot the shit with someone I don't know outside of them creating a similarly named website.
2. I am not going to go into negotiations to give up anything TGN related.
3. Unless of course he wants to hand over their TGN to me. Now that would be something. But then again, they probably want money for it, which I don't have. It would also mean I'd have to deal with those "partners"... /shudderComment

They're like another Machinima, but smaller. People "partner" with them for some reason. I'm assuming it's because they think they will get paid a lot of money and a lot of promotion, which I've not really seen happen. I'm sure there's a lot I miss or don't know, but then again I don't particularly care. However, I'm also going to assume those that partner with them don't realize they can probably make more just by using Google's AdSense partner program since there's no additional middleman taking a cut for themselves.Comment
