yeah my brother went. He says the only reason he didnt pursue a refund was because of the mars volta's, expectedly, mindblowing performance. The big day out here is waaaaay too commercial, I need to try one in NZ because my brother and sister say its a lot better, and no, we are not NZ patriots, those kinds of people are an endangered species.

yeah it was great (for someone like me) Mastodon, the mars volta, fear factory, muse, I think there are some others. Apparrantly it was just boring. My brother said that the bogans kept making "circle pits" that were really just 2 guys sumo wrestling in the middle of a large circle of people. also, because of its proximity to australia day, many take it as a day of "aussie pride" when really its a music festival, not an australia day festival.

Well we're not australian metalheads...? well australian "metal" bands (like parkway drive who are really just metalcore) have made me give up hope on most of australian metal, which is why I turned to prog metal.
