Most jazz players use les pauls. Metal players use Ibanez, blues and general rock n pop music is most often a strat.

I'm thinking more bluesy, but jazz/blues always seems to go in the same category for me. I was thinking Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn... they use Fender Strats.

But when I say metal I mean a metal guitar with a Les Paul shape, for example...

I went to Denmark street in London today (masses of guitar shops) with a load of my freinds where we essentially jizzed over all the guitars. ;d
