So if wu-wei is the act of non-doing, as in being active but not out of cultural or social persuasion, does that make it essentially impossible for anyone to follow the Tao in such a pompous society as ours?
Can anyone really drift or flow like water; emmulating its power of submissiveness and yet retaining its strength as drifting? Is following Tao, regardless of it as the easiet and most natural thing to human kind, basically unreachable thanks to the way we have developed? Isn't it ironic that a cultural icon like Yoda is the image we have have of the Tao? ("Do not try. Do or do not. There is no try.")
