oh thank **** its working.

I ran all the checks... the guitar wasnt the problem - i tired two, neither was the cable - i tried two... so it looked like the amp.


then for ****s an giggles i tried my old amp, and realised it was making the fizzing noise too. to make a long story short I hooked it up to another wall socket and it works!


I think I might have actually overloaded the sockets in my room on one side. with a pc + load of guitar stuff somethings bound to give?
