Do I need an modem if i already have one on my main comp thats also connected to an router and we have another comp upstairs that has an usb wireless adapter that connects to the router basicly. I have an usb wireless adapter ready and my new comp says you can choose no modem but it comes with an Network Adapter 10/100/1000 PCI Network Card but no modem.

You could *try* playing BF2 over wireless. I've heard some different results from different folks. However, you don't need to buy a new cable/dsl modem. All you need is one for the house, that plugs into a router, which sends the internet to the rest of the house by wire or wireless.

If you get lots of lag on your wireless, bite the bullet and run some ethernet cable from your upstairs compter to your downstairs router. You'll enjoy online games alot more, I expect.

I ordered my comp XD cant wait tell i get it ^^ but yea how much does the ethernet cord cost cause id need it to spread to rooms i dont believe i would need to drill holes threw my walls cause my carpetts suck so i could just pull em up and hide the cord under them
