I'm using the same processor with the 1950XTX card and 2gb Corsair ram.

Brilliant. run everything on max and have fun.

Have got my machine running at 2.8GB and have got 6527 3Dmarks so far and 2394 cpu score when testing.

Yep, the rest of your comp is awesome and you'll love the performance. Max quality 4xAA.

You may occasionaly get a bit of server lag but everyone else will get it at the same time. Others have been saying they are getting lag but it has not affected me. You have a good combination there. Go and max out everything you can.
You should be able to get 6x AA with that card. The option should be available to you in the game settings.

I have 1 more question do i need a modem built inside my comp if i got another comp downstairs with a modem and router. Like have adaptor that connects to my router.

Oh i forgot to mention the whole name of the ATI Radeon X1900 it also says 256MB DVI VIVO will the DVI VIVO affect anything

DVI means that your gpu provides a digital video interface connection; VIVO is another connection: video in/video out. They are nice to have (you can hook up home A/V equipment with the VIVO) but they don't alter performance with regard to computer games.

Yes, you need an ethernet/lan card in any pc that you want to connect to the internet. Else, how are you going to plug it in? For best results, you'll need to run some ethernet cable from your router to your upstairs pc. Wireless is great for surfing, but you can't really game with it very well.

just a tip save your money and get the x1800 pro i had it and thought o well 1900 will be better nope its literally the EXACT same thing it has a couple new options for overclocking and stuff like that. you will never use it. x1900 is $300 while 1800 is $135

so id have to buy an modem when i already have an Linksys router that came with 4 extra wireless usb adapters

Um the power supply i have will i need more? cause it seems to be a lil low

Ok this is what i ment to say about the modem thingy. Do I need an modem if i already have one on my main comp thats also connected to an router and we have another comp upstairs that has an usb wireless adapter that connects to the router basicly. I have an usb wireless adapter ready and my new comp says you can choose no modem but it comes with an Network Adapter 10/100/1000 PCI Network Card but no modem.
