Thats actually supposed to be showcasing what Intel multi-core processors can do (although its a lie, its graphics card dependent).
But yeah, its pretty nice. Although DX10 does not automatically mean it will look like this, its a tech demo. -
Re: Omfg Dx10 Video Demonstration!! @!##@
That is only part true. The CPU does make up for the end result in video performance. Im sure if you had the same setup with a Core 2 Duo E6600 up against the AMD Athlon X2 3800+ there would be a noticable diference.Originally posted by mlkmnzThats actually supposed to be showcasing what Intel multi-core processors can do (although its a lie, its graphics card dependent).Comment

Doubt it. A graphics card is about 90% of the fight. A good graphics card with an average CPU will be better than an average graphics card with a good CPU. Its why I can play BF2 with all settings maxed out with a 4 year old CPU and a new graphics card.
If you look at CPU performance charts and GPU performance charts, you'll see a much more severe gaming bell curve as you use a better graphics card.Comment

Heres a good dx10 demo.

BF2 is possibly the worst game you can base your statement on. Mainly cause its a sheer memory slut/whore/hooker/gold digger. You could play the game on high with a XP 3200 and a 6800GT if you had 2 gigs of ram. Any type of geometry, physics, or whatever is based off your CPU. Post processing per shay would be your graphics card like bump mapping. Video cards are hardly %90.Originally posted by mlkmnzDoubt it. A graphics card is about 90% of the fight. I agree BF2 is not really a good game for showcasing CPU powerOriginally posted by hemimotorzBF2 is possibly the worst game you can base your statement on. Where did I say my statement is related to BF2? BF2 sucks *** for benchmarking as it gives very inconsistent performance, ever notice how hardware reviews almost never use for benchmarking it even though it's such a popular title?Originally posted by hemimotorzBF2 is possibly the worst game you can base your statement on.
Still, even in the case of BF2, an Athlon XP 3000+ with a 7900GT is going to kick the crap out of a Core 2 Duo E6600 with a 7300GT.Comment

Wow your a idiot. I mean really. Idiot. Sooooo anyway ard-tard..... Do you know what elements video proccessing effects? Do you understand the core logic diffrence between a Core 2 Duo and a XP3000+? Basicly what I',m getting at is. Do you really know what your talking about? Your computer most be hacked because I really can't beleave the B.S. your typing bud.Originally posted by mlkmnz

Dunno. Am I engaging with some sort of geek lord who's going to want to get into the intricacies of processor architecture? Are you some sort of super-nerd made from the remains of lessers nerds he has pwn3d?Originally posted by hemimotorzDo you dare to engage with me sir?
Please smite me down with your uber-knowledge and give me snippets of geekdom I can whisper into the ears of my girlfriend when we make sweet sweet love.Comment

Whats a flesh light?
Serious dude. You might have some winded geeky story about processors being the be all and end all. Here's all I need to know. Look at this:
then this:
Now, which one has the biggest impact on graphics performance, CPU or GPU? Would love to know something to contradict my thoughts.
Ah. Flesh light is a sex toy. Weird how you were aware of what one was and I wasn't.
Then again, your forum name implies you're a fan of big, inefficient, archaic engines too. Which get whipped by a decent Japanese engine less than half the capacity. And you want to teach me about which computer component is best for gaming?
Hmm. Now I'm interested.Comment
