well i already had the 7600gs and i got graphics all on high but my mate went and got a 7300gs and i was wondering if there was much difference but when i went onto tht site that i think it was the 2nd poster said its quite a big difference

The biggest difference between the two cards it the memory.

7300GS:
64bit memory bandwidth

7600GS:
128bit memory bandwidth

It doesnt matter how much onboard memory the 7300 has 64/126/256/512MB I doubt it would use any to its maximum. 64Bit memory sucks, and that is why the 7300GS is a budget card.

The only good version of the 7300 series is the 7300GT DDR3. It has to be DDR3 and not DDR2. Overclocked the DDR3 version which are only made by Galaxy (with a zalman) and inno3d can match a 7600GT at stock.


But these are difficult to come by in the US, I managed to find a 7300gt for 52 pounds, and it should be arriving today. I will put a zalman on it and see how far I can push it.

I may buy another and put it in SLI which after looking at reviews should surpass a single 7900GT, and for just over 100 quid I think it will be a bargain.

If you cant get hold of the 7300GT DDR3, just go for the 7600GS which is a good value card.

OH **** how come i paid £70 quid for a damned 7300GS then, tht was 1 month afore james here got a 7600GS for the same price surely this thing can do somik? oh and i know the difference between the memory bandwidth because when my mate got the 7600 i compared the stats THEY AINT THT BAD!

Prices of GFX cards are always comming down for example I pain £130 odd for my 7600GT and now one on my mates got it for £88. Prices are allways dropping because newer and newer stuff is comming out

If that is all you care about, turn all your settings to low/off no AA and you will get the maximum FPS the card can deliver.

OWN UP, who voted for the 7300???
