Im thinking about buying i-ram rev 1.3. Though I am not near my pc (in another country) I want to know how much space does bf2 take ( and if possible the individual space of AF and SF).
Will I-ram fasten load times and/or increase fps if I record with fraps?
It appears to speed up load times but they dont mention FPS. I wouldnt have thought so personally, that comes down to graphics card primarily, the stuff like RAM and to a lesser extent CPU.

to anser your question my bf2 folder is 3.73gb which inludes SF, AF, EF but i have 64 size version of a lot of maps, so yours may be less.
my SF folder is 828mb, again including 64 size maps
not sure on AF or EF as they are kinda intergrated within BF2
have you seen the youtube video with i-ram booting up windows, insane!!
it will speed up map load times tremendously and when you have to optimize video settings
There is a version with 16 gigs available, and for the 5 inch bays, but they cost about 1 000 GBP (without ram) and they are for sata
Attractive I think but the cost is not worth it yet. Imagine a IRam booting into windows like instantly and hard drives retired in favor of memory that does not have moving parts.
If money was not an object I probably would have it on the machine in order to get faster loading on Bloatware 2
