so the ati setup is a winner? i was looking in bench marks and the en7900gt gets 73fps but the 1900 gets less??? but i think the ati setup is good so i can save and buy a cross fire one to have dual. ok thanks

hmm i think ill go with the x1900xtx instead of x1900xt because its only 30 more $

Core 2 duo's tend to be a wee bit faster than the AM2's right now and the kentsfield quad cores are going to be released later this year. In terms of future upgrades, the conroe would be the better choice. As for the gpu, the x1900xt should be just fine, no need to spend the extra 30$ because you can overclock the x1900xt higher than the clock speeds of the xtx and both cards are great, all these high end cards give you the abilityto have all the eye candy in BF2 and others with some nice FPS pointage left over, it's mostly a matter of price....

1 more thing...I think SLI/Xfire is a total waste because when you want to get a new card that second card you have in the SLI/Xfire setup is kind of a setback becuse even if you do buy a new card for you SLI/Xfire setup the newer card is going to have to stoop down to the level of the older card....of course unless you can sell both cards/buy 2 new cards to replace the old ones.....
