AMD vs. Intel

I've heard really good things about both camponies, but which do you guys find better?

AMD is better for gaming, but its a big topic, pretty much everywhere

AMD was clearly better with their Athlon 64 processors while Intel was stuck with their Pentium 4s. But on July 14th Intel brings out Core 2 Duo, which beats the Athlon 64 worse than the A64's lead over the Pentium 4. With the A64-P4 debate, there were atleast times where you could be excused for going with the P4. Now, there is absolutely no reason to go with a A64 when building a new PC. Unless your budget is REALLY small, like sub-$700.

No one company is "better for gaming." A company, just by being that company, doesn't do anything. It's the processors they produce that decide what is better. I personally think its extremely ignorant to ask, "Which is better, AMD or Intel?" It's their processors that decide. Next time, ask, "Which is better, the Athlon 64 or the Core 2 Duo?"

The answer, in practically every situation, is the Core 2 Duo. For gaming, or otherwise.

Just cause your a "Walking Slogan" for Intel doesnt mean AMD isnt good, big deal release your **** CPU and all the hype will go down the toilet cause Intel are good at building up hype they cant commit to.
