True about the ATI way, does not mean that it will win, but if game developers star writting the software for unified shadders Nvidia could have a problem.

why dont they jus release a super gfx card with like 100 pipelines. im sure i will buy that if its 3DMark06 score was 100000. i cant possibly keep upgrading my gfx card at each generation.

They need to be sure the cards components will fit onto a reasonbly sized PCB. As you can see today the PCB's are already massive. They are limited by the PCB's physical size, heat factors, and the process size which is currently 90nm for video cards. The next generation cards should be on 80nm tech.

As far as my 7900GT 512MB runs every game I play with max settings I wont upgrade :)

There's not. The 512MB is the GTX.

You also said we wouldn't see an AMD revision G by Christmas nor K8L until 2008, but alas. Lets also not forget who thought and may still think a Geforce 6200 is better than an ATI 9800 pro.
Why do you think that we'll see Greyhound by Christmas? Deerhound should launch before Greyhound and even if AMD could pull things in by 1 quarter that'd still put the product launch (for Deerhound, Greyhound is another quarter beyond that) at the end of Q1 of 2007. A lot of very complicated **** is going to have to go very right (migration to 60nm, no major bugs in the "E" cores) in order for that to happen...

I think you're confusing revision "G" with "Greyhound". I never even mentioned greyhound in any of my posts since it's too far off to spark my interest. I was speaking of Deerhound (K8L revision H), being in the first quarter of 2007, and now it seems that was just rumors and K8L may not be released until the middle of 2007 at the earliest (current rumors suggest Q4). The first 65nm cores released will be the low end X2 revision "G" models to get better yeilds until they can actually produce quality high end cores. It's revision "G" that will now be realeased around December 6th.

Flanker intead of blindly agreeing you should actually read what he's saying.

I'm getting pretty tired of all the speculation and rumors surrounding AMD's future plans. Things are changing weekly, release dates moving forward, moving back, traveling back in time... I really don't care since I too am a follower of performance.

That being said Conroe is far from perfect:

                      My bad, I misread.

That sounds plausible but (as you said) it's too early to tell.

In the first link, all of the 7900's with 512MB are GTX's.

The 2nd link does indeed look to be a GT but it's a custom build of some sort (550MHz core frequency). So, I stand corrected but in my defense that's the first GT I've seen anywhere with 512MB of RAM and the first I've ever heard of that company. :p

there are quite a few 7900GT with 512mb. these 512mb cards actually perform better than the 256mb ones and frequently have quite a fair bit of overclockability. its only abit more tha a standard 7900GT and is better bang for buck

Sharikou's a freakin AMD humper. Listening to his crap is worse than trusting Tom's Hardware for a fair Intel comparison. Look at him! He gets owned by his own freakin comments. The guy's a fruit.

This is a great humor site. I luv it.
I wonder if anyone actually believes anything written on this site!?
^ That goes for you Wreck. I suggest you stay away from this crap if you want to retain a sense of validity.

As for the RAID..."ZOMFG! I CANNOT RUN RAID 5. WHAT EVER AM I GOING TO DO. OH MY, THE WORLD IS ENDING."

When this card comes out I will save alot on building a new computer(With an ATI x1900xt or 7900gt).
