Re: preordering a e6700
No sensible motherboards available yet.
The extra 2MB cache in the E6600/E6700/X6800 has been shown to make 10%-15% improvement in games.

Lol, those things are quad core, right? Anyways, those are coming out next year, and they'll probably be uneccesary lol, i mean dual core came out like what, last year or something, now they're going for quad core when most applications don't even utilize dual core yet lol.Originally posted by Sir. BOBSONATOR025im going for the 6600, or maybe i will stick around until kentsfield.

Re: preordering a e6700
Lol, cache whore. So conroe is a 'cache user' in otherwords lol. Does the extra cache help that much, i mean AMD killed all their AM2 2x1MB cache CPUs already, opteron will have 1mb and 2x1mb cache, but that's all. It seems to me that they think cache is not that important.Originally posted by WreckYeah, if you guys haven't noticed by now Conroe is a cache whore.

Re: preordering a e6700
Cache isn't nearly as important for amd procs as it is for intel, so you don't need nearly as much.Originally posted by Eddy01741Lol, cache whore. So conroe is a 'cache user' in otherwords lol. Re: preordering a e6700
Being a cache whore isn't bad, it just means it benefits from more cache. Anyways, the conroe got a 10 sec spi time lol, but it was running at like 5.2ghz cooled by LN2.Originally posted by Sir.
