So after seeing some debates on just how good FPS some people are getting, I decided to make a nice, easy-to-use timedemo. All you need in winrar, Battlefield 2 patched to v1.3, and the ability to follow some simple instructions.
Edit: Make sure everything in your GPU's control panel is set to Application-Controlled for bf2.exe!
Here's the readme:
If you guys would like to report your Average Frame Rate, that would be great. And please, no cheating. The timedemo uses the video.con in (Battlefield 2 Directory)/Profiles/Default for its graphics settings. If you change that video.con file before running the timedemo, you will be using different settings than everyone else.

Note: This will only work with the 1.3 patch installed.
Instructions:
1. Extract the Battlefield 2 1.3 Timedemo folder to anywhere on your computer that you can find easily
2. Copy the contents of that folder into you Battlefield 2 directory. The default directory for Battlefield 2 is C://Program Files/EA Games/Battlefield 2. Let it overwrite whatever it needs to.
3. Run timedemo.bat
4. You will have to click "Join Game" once everything is loaded
5. Wait for the timedemo to finish. IT's a little under 4 minutes long.
6. Your results will be in the file timedemo_report.txt in (Battlefield 2 directory)/mods/bf2. The contents should look something like this:

The average frame rate is the one you will want to report in the thread.
The only file that the included files will overwrite is the default video.con file, found at (Battlefield 2 Directory)/Profiles/Default.Punkbuster does not look for this, so it should be fine, but if you want to be paranoid I included the unmodified video.con file in the Backup folder.

all my mods work though.
I was expecting way worse than this. I just ran it then over clocked my gpu to 500mhz, and my average fps went from 50 to 88:)
