Remember to get newest drivers / firmware from razer homepage, I had trouble getting the settings stick until I installed those.

You probably need to tweak around with sensitivities anyway. Increase polling rate and DPI to 1kHz and 2000 first, then tweak windows & Razer configurator sensitivities (I have windows sens roughly in middle of bar and configurator sens ~3) until you like the sens on desktop, THEN find the right sens for BF2.

I don't really get the hostility between logitech and razer camps. Razer has been making high quality mice for gaming for ages, as has logitech. Both are very good at what they do. Whether you want logitech one or razer one depends entirely on ergonomics in my opinion, I just like the Razer shape, feel, symmetry and the way I hold it more.

set to 0.2 in bf2 and to 4 in razerdrivers: your aiming will be incredible! But you'll need a huge mousepad.

The Razer Copperhead is the best mouse I ever had.
I've already tested the Lofitech G5: was also good but not as good as the razer for me :)

I get the same feeling when reading different forums. Many say get Logitech because it has on-the-fly-sensitivity etc., but fail to realize the fact that Razer has had that feature on their gaming mice for a long time.

Logitech borrowed that feature on their MX518, which basically MX500 series + Razer features. Logitech might be known by more ppl, but Razer has always been frontrunner when it comes to innovation in gaming mice.

I had a an MX518 and then switched to the Razor. I actually found the Razer interface to on the fly DPI very appealing. Made it pretty easy to get the right sensitivity. My biggest gripe is the difficulty to press the buttons on the right side of the mouse (I'm right handed). But overall I'm much happier with the Razer. (BTW, I do know that there's a diff between the G5 and the 518).

If any of you own the Copperhead, can you help me out as far as settings go?

                Hey,

I got the copperhead as well, i love this mouse it's awesome, for it being too sensitive thats why the copperhead has the buttons on the side to lower the sensitivty while in game. I change the settings for different areas such as sniping, flying, basic infantry.

                    Re: Razer Copperhead for BF2.

I bought a G5 a couple of days ago but I'm having real trouble using it. I just can't get the sensitivity settings right, I've tried all settings on all sensitivities but it never feels "right". Plus, when it gets close to feeling right, as soon as I get in a tank or vehicle the sensitivity is all wrong again so I have to get used to that too.

It's a real shame as I was really looking forward to buying it but I don't really know what do do now as I really can't see myself getting used to it. I upgraded from an old crappy Microsoft Intellimouse 1.1 but switching back to that it feels "right" straight away.

I don't know whether it's worth persevering though as the G5 feels really nice, the weights are pretty cool, the side button is perfect for me (though the middle button is not very good). Maybe I'll just keep experimenting but I'm getting bored of switching to single player mode to try and get it sorted.

the copperhead is crap, just like any and every logitech. the only good gaming mouse to date is the razer boomslang 2000.

I feel your pain. That's exactly my situation with the Copperhead.

In TWL matches, I keep having to go back to my old Logitech laser mouse or else I'll get owned. I just wish someone would upload a config file JUST for BF2...I'm sure someone has, I just can't seem to find it anywhere.

I am working on my third Copperhead. They have a problem where they will start disconnecting, and then reconnecting , it starts under load, then will become a problem globally on your computer. There is nothing you can do to fix it, just send it back to them.

Other than the buttons not being in good places to press in game, as opposed to the Logitecs, they are without a doubt the MOST comfortable mouse I have ever used.

Is there any huge differences between the Copperhead and the Diamondback except for the 400 extra DPI and maybe faster response time? I personally have a diamondback and just wanted to know if I can't do something that the copperhead can do :)

Yeah i set my G5 at the mid level on the mouse and in game i have it set at .6. It feels nice and it makes the G36C a killer sniper rifle for me.
