Just so everyone is clear, the Copperhead and the G5 use the exact same laser engine made by the same company. The only real differences are the software and the shape.

Oh and the fact that the Copperhead is way too light out of the box. If you open it up and put weights inside it feels much better, if you don't mind voiding the warranty on a ridiculously expensive mouse.

And before you flame, I have a Copperhead.

Yea, if you gys don't believe it, my uncle that lives in China, he has this fangled dual optical mouse made by logitech (old, but it was once the best of it's time), and on the USB wire, it read RAZER. They are using the exact same engines, it's just software and shape like unununium mentioned.

It's not really a case of getting used to it, it's a case of actually finding a setting and sensitivity i feel i might possibly be able to get used to (if you see what I mean).

Anyway, I hope you're right but we'll see.

          Re: Razer Copperhead for BF2.

I tried G5, G7, and Copperhead. I sold the G5, and the G7 on ebay.
The Copperhead is imho superior to the logitech mice in every single aspect. At least that's for my taste. Not saying the G5/7 is a bad mouse at all, but I found the razer copperhead to work a lot better for me.
I have many years of FPS experience started with deltaforce 1 mp.

Play around with the DPI, polling-rate, and sensitivity.
Also make sure that you get the newest drivers from Razerzone.com, and verify that you have the latest firmware running. If you need to update the firmware you MUST read, and follow the instructions very carefully before you install it.
You can store 5 different profiles, and switch between those on the fly. I don't know of any other mouse that has this feature.

And yes, it does take time to get used to it, but once you're used to it you will never want to trade it in again.

For the keyboard: I would never give away my G15

I think the only difference is the DPI and the shape is a little tweaked. Ive got the diamondback and I love it, its by far the best mouse Ive had. Its very accurate and really fast if you need it to be.

i have the mx518. i tried the diamonback but didnt like the feel of it. the logitechs feel better to me. i think it just depends on the persons personal preference. until a razer comes out that feels more comforatable i'll stick with logitechs.

                      Re: Razer Copperhead for BF2.

The bottom line here is that it comes down to taste. It's impossible to say that either of the G5/Copperhead is the "better" mouse. Their software has essentially identical features and, as I mentioned before, they have the same guts inside. It all comes down to how you want your mouse to feel and whether you like your mouse to light up your entire room (the Copperhead is bloody bright).

If you can, go down to the store and rub your greasy mitts all over both mice so you can make an informed decision.

                        QFT.

I agree, in the end all it depends on is your personal preference.
The only way to find out which one is "better" is to test them both, and spend some time playing with each one of them before buying the mouse that suits you best.

Eddy, I think you should be able to pick one up at Stanford university.
I also believe that the price is negotiable.

I'm curious as to how much of a real difference there is between using a high dpi setting with a low sensitivity vs just using one of the lower dpi settings. Anyone experimented?

blah whatever a mouse will not improve your game very much maybe 4% the only real positive is it's easier to pin point headshots at max range with a ironsight witch you don't really need to do alot

You are right, all mice are the same. It does not matter wheter I use a cheap 5$ no-name, or some 50$ 2000 dpi Xtra-1337 gam0r m0uze.
Truth is I get horny from this green logo pulsating on my mouse

Indeed, if you can't play with a cheap mouse you won't be able to play better with a good and expensive mouse either.

After all it is the hand, and the eye-hand coordination that makes part of a good player. The mouse is only to fine-tune your finesses.
