Argh.. for no reason at all, after no changes of any seettings, with no warning and no explination. BF2 CTD's everytime i try and join a MP server. i click join, CTD, start BF2, click join, CTD.. again and again and again.. but the most annoying thing is... is was working fine 15 min ago!! I was playing hapily. I go to get some food, get kicked for being idle, and now i cant join ANY multiplayer game... none, zilch, zero, zip... etc etc.. *sigh*

That's the probs with patch 1.3, not your computer, don't worry, i get it all the time.

1.4 is supposed to come out late July or August.

I dont want to have to keep re-installing... and the patching takes as long as a re-install...

I dont want to have to keep re-installing... and the patching takes as long as a re-install...

Why do you have to keep on re installing? No matter if you re install or not, everybody gets the 'join game' CTD problem.

Mm.. to me it seemed perminant. tried to join many many times.. and every time it was a ctd. Im almost thinking is going back to 1.22, im just weighing up the issues with that to the new ones... lol.

Maybe in your case you might wanna re-install, btw, the full install has less CTDs than teh incremental, so if you do a whole new re install of BF2, and do full install, you might see less CTD.
