    Since amd is now making am2 semprons, the s754 has no reason to exist. So yes, they should be discontinued.

      Ok thx, it makes sense since they hardly have any S754 CPU's left and a lot of them are OEMs.

        Than that is NOT a true refurb then. Refurbishing can only be done by the factory, not NewEgg or any retailer.

        You are referring to NewEgg "Open Box" and/or "used" items. I'm sure they do also sell refurbs, but they would be clearly marked as such, and the open boxes are marked respetively. If NewEgg is selling open box as refurb, then they are misleading people.
