Us SB X-Fi users that is! In fact, up until now, we haven't been running Ultra High sound at all. It only sounded a bit better because of the settings set in your sound consolde (crystaliser, bass boost, etc.). Ultra High hasn't been actually running until now, until Creative had released the "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi series Beta Driver with OpenAL support" on May 30th.

I always thought I had been running Ultra-High with my X-Fi xtrememusic, guess not! To my surprise, after having installed these new beta drivers, the sound in REAL Ultra-High is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Everything sounds so much more detailed and realistic. Haven't tried all the weapons, but DAO-12 sounds MUCH more fiercer, as well as the tank cannon fire, pistols, heck when I think about it, everything. Everything just sounds much more crisper, sharper and lethal. I highly suggest anyone who has an X-Fi to get the patch right now! And for those who are major BF2 enthusiasts, get the X-Fi hehe.

No, I wasn't hired by Creative hehe. Just really impressed by this massive change. Good thing we weren't left in the dark *too* long I guess... Long live Ultra-High sound setting!
