Hmm. First, go to your post and delete your name. No reason to be identifiable on the 'net.

Second, yeah. It sounds like a bad card if you plugged in a working replacement. The PSU really shouldn't matter (up to a point). My card says it requires a 350W PSU, but I'm running 4xeide devices, 2 PCI devices, a p4 3.0E space heater, and the x800xt AIW. I'm running an antec 380W, but Dell puts half-way decent power supplies in their PC's, so I'm guessing it ain't the PSU.

Sorry guy. Call the distributor and have them do a swap for you. (Or, return it and save for a 6600 series--gt preferably--if you want to see BF2 really fly.)

Hmm should i get a refund, and get another 6800 but not an XT, I heard that they only have 8 pixel piplines, but i don't know how that would affect proformance, i mean, im upgradin from an FX 5200, anything is better than that

methinks somewhere around an x850xt -ish (although the x850xt won't do SM3, which isn't really a drawback because in this class/price range you'd probably rather get better framerates than have HDR turned on).

I did a google on 6800gs v. x850xt and got a link to this forum. here's an interesting chart from that forum, that may do more to answer your questions quantitatively:

edit...hmm...x850 are hard to find for agp boards these days. ebay may be your best source
