with ATI tray tools up, it runs at 65-70C

Imagine the heat on the GPU if you had a X1800XT in there instead of a X850XT...

3dMark03 is very outdated. Run 05 or 06 to get a true comparison. Scores of older versions cannot be directly compared to newer versions.

Can I get the newer version for free? If so where would be a good place?

there shouldnt be any problems with heat until at least 70 degrees C

anyway my friends old crappy 9600 pro was running at about 90-100 load only 1 case fan an everything burning up inside

case tempreture was about 40-50 degrees its probably been runnig that hot since he got it about 2 years back
