The mic that comes with the Zalman Headset is great. I have never had any complaints.

I am running the black version of the ICEMAT Syberia (Cyberia?). The headset is super comfortable, the only problem is the mic. It is a clip on lapel style that just doesnt pick up enough. It is not loud enough for any game with my Audigy 2 ZS. I have to use a cheap headset around my neck for a mic. Looks kinda stupid, but it works.

Fatal1ty Xi-Fi and sennheiser HD 485 cans the 3D sound the Xi fi chucks out is excellent thru the cans........BTW i always prefer to use a stand alone mic that is cheapo (i paid just over 2USD) cos i found that even supposedly good mics die quite regularly (i've had about 10) and i dont want to be stuck with a useless mic on my cans (+ i can also use them on my PSP without looking like a special agent fu#kwit)

Another X-Fi / Medusa 5.1 user here. Gotta love the adjustable controls on the Medusa 5.1 Pro Gamer version - I've got the vibration/bass up quite a ways and the center channel up a bit more than the rest too. Miles better than my old AC97 onboard my A8N mobo with the Logitech headset...

All you need is the PC160 - 165 comes with an extra USB soundcard. That's why it cost a bit more.
The PC160 is basically the exact same thing just without the USB soundcard.
I don't use the USB since my X-Fi does quiet well
I also think that the SK edition has a bit bigger and softer headphones then the regular 160's.
The regular 160 costs about 65-70 €. And let me assure you that it's well worth every single cent of it's price :)
The PC-150 is very good too, a buddy of mine uses them because he didn't want to spend all the money for the 160s. They cost around 40-55 € depending where you buy them.

Audigy 4 with Logitech Z5500D 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers. Don't like using headsets. I prefer "feeling" the sound on my legs when an arty hits! :) The subby on this unit is awesome.

I have a usb Plantronics DSP 300, and it does a great job in many games, and I've had it for a few years, though it isnt made anymore. The Logitech USB headsets are good, as well as Plantronics

uhm, some cheap Advent headset, lasted longer than i thought it would at the price i bought it at.
i probably have some kind of intergrated sound card
