What headset/sound card do you use?

Currently using a 3 yr old headset from Altec Lansing w. a SB Audigy 2ZS Platinum.I just purchased a Zalman ZM-RS6F 5.1 headset and look forward to playing BF2 in "real" 5.1 surround without using my big speakers.I was just curious what some of the rest of you use.

i always got a decent surround effect from some 9.99 headphones and sblive 1024. now using some onboard 7.1 surround thing but with my 4.1 speakers as the headphones broke

Sound Card is the Sound Blaster X-Fi Faitality with a set of Zalman 5.1 surround sound headphones. It makes everything sound swweeeeettttt .

Just about every Logitech headset is a good pick. I'm rocking the SB X-fi personally.... I love it. :)

I have a full over-the-ear logitech headset, but they squeeze my head to tightly. I needed the full ear covers cause I was playing from inside a server room with 43 servers...the background noise was to much for any other type of ear coverings.

Just curious, what mic do you use? I got the Zalman MIC that come with the headset, but was curious about the quality. I won't be getting the stuff for about a week.

Sound blaster Xfi Extreme Music sound card, and Speedlink Medusa 5.1 headphones.

I use a Plantronics headset which was part of the original Microsoft Gamevoice set. Sound card is onboard nVidia SoundStorm.

As much as I'd like to have a new X-Fi card, I don't think it's worth the money. I'm getting very good positional sound from my old nForce2 motherboard and a $18 Logitech headset. I also have 4 year old fairly cheap 2.1 speakers and playing FEAR last night I got a scare from over my right shoulder. I had the door open and I though some guy had walked in on me. Great game!

I use my good ol integreted soundcard in my ASUS A8V, together with my IceMat siberia headset...

As much as I'd like to have a new X-Fi card, I don't think it's worth the money.

I have never regretted buying my X-Fi, miles better than my old soundcard. Its like anything else, if you want to experience the best you have to pay lots for it:)

X-fi with the MedUSA 5.1 headset.
