You know you may be right. I don't contribute much anymore because I'm exhausted replying to trolls like you. All you guys are the same, you get your feelings hurt so you do a search on the offenders posts? Did you look up my IP and find out where I live too? Did you find some highschool yearbook pictures of me also?

This forum section has grown alot since I started posting here a year ago. The people that were asking for help then are now giving advice. So all I do now is sit around and ridicule loaners like you who mosey through here once in a while. You've found me out. Please call the man on me so your misery will stop.

I have learned a hella lot when i came to this forum, i wouldnt know as much as i do today without wreck's and others help, I am now able to help people with my knowledge i have gained and it makes me proud!

Bad Toad, as far as i know i havent seen you even touch this part of the forums in the 5 months ive ben here. these guys know a hell of alot more stuff than you do and they always will, this is just another attempt from someone to come in here and act like they are all high and mighty and have been blessed by computer gods or some sh!t.

Ive said what i wanted to say.
      Thank you

EDIT:HEH funny you live in fort worth, I do and i thought you would have more sense like most people in fort worth to challenge someone that you know knows more stuff than anyone here, But i guess not.

Another Texan slamming another Texan...never thought I'd see the day. But like any true Texan, I stand my ground. I don't shy from some punks trying to start sh%t. As has been stated repeatedly, what started out as a difference of opinion, was soon escalated to a friggin flame war by a couple of supposed "know-it-alls" who wanted to jump in. I had and still have NO bad blood between lil-jim as it was an argument. Now for these two ya-hoos who jumped in with nothing but talk, there just might be. Re-read the topic from the beginning to end. See where the sh*t started and with whom. If you still say it was me, I'll appologize. If you see it was not, well, we'll just take it from there.

I could care less where you are. You asked who TF I was. So I found out who TF you were and posted the results. At least you admit you are the one spamming the hate and trouble-strating. BTW, that makes only YOU the troll. Not the guy posting asking for help. Not the guy trying to help. Just you.

you claimed to "know it all" when you said there wasn't any performance gain. You have still yet to show it to me and everyone else. Even if the gain was only 2.7 fps like I had posted, that is still a gain, no matter how small or "trivial" it may be.

Your wrong. I have the graphs, and the benchmarks to prove your wrong. Until you post your own graphs proving your point, your wrong to me and the rest of the people here at the forums.

Fine, if you want to stand your ground and look like an idiot to the rest of the Tech forums, so be it. I have factual evidence that your wrong. What do you have? What you say, which will never hold up here.

You want bad blood? go for it. I will still be in these forums when you have moved on.

          to a mod:

plz just lock this thread. it's becoming nothin' more than a flame war, because he's wrong, and is flaming the rest of us.

Yet again...READ, man, READ. I said, and I quote, AGAIN, "you will not notice a difference"...I NEVER said there was ZERO gain. You cannot tell the difference in 3 FPS when your FPS is already above 70-80 FPS, cummon man, you know I'm right. Quit trying to split hairs with me here. You know exactly what I was saying and you are intentionally making trouble. You are the one disgracing yourself in this forum. You don;t have a leg to stand on at this point.

I welcome a mod to read this thread. You will be the one warned for flaming, not I. I present an opinion based on facts. You are looking for trouble, based on hair-splitting. You have started, and continued the flame.

That is why they have historicaly run cooler and draw less power, thus making them better candidates for overclocking. Lets break this down, here's one of the most uninformed posts I've seen here. Yet you have the audacity to tell Jimmy to do research. Each core at 3.8GHz???

He is for the first time overclocking. He does not need the hassle of overclocking when it will not benefit him. Please sit down and be quiet. Let the adults argue, ok?
Here you state you will not see any difference. Well I saw the benchmarks, and I do see a difference.

The content of your other posts are just you trying to belittle Jimmy. You are such a contribution.

You state that you won't notice when overclocking a dual core? Why do you single out dual core? If it applies to dual then it will apply to single as well in this case. Everyone knows when compared to a dual core in single threaded games a single core will outperform a dual core every time. This is due to the increased latency added by that extra core and cache. What you fail to mention are the actual benefits of using a dual core while gaming. Those would include:

              -Great multitasking performance
-No lag while alt tabbing from the game
-Ability to set affinity of programs to each core
-when you quit the game there is no post-game lag
-Support of some present and all future games (multi-threaded)
              -keep up with the Jones'
              -ePeen

So I don't see why you posts seems to bash dual core while inferring that with a single core you would notice a difference if you overclock.

You will notice a difference you cannot seem to grasp that if you speed up the cpu or video card you wilkl notice it!.
I have seen people run 3dmark at stock settings and then they overclock it by a couple hunddred megahertz and their scores go up a thousand points or two thousand. thats alot of difference from the stock settings i would say.

well what if their fps is already 70-80 then they just want to make the game run smoother and make his whole computer faster overall.

Like the first time i ever overclocked it was my 2Ghz Northwood, I got it up to 2.3 and i noticed a big difference. It was like night and day, My whole computer ran faster and i could play my games more effieciently. maybe he is trying ti iverclock becuase he wants as much performance out of his computer, but you will notice the difference in games, it could maybe be that you are able to turn your settings up a little higher or it could be a 10 fps jump. but you WILL notice the difference.

Hell when i got my X1600 Pro up to these speeds i could already tell the difference on battlefield 2 when i logged on after a night of voltmodding. The whole game ran smoother and i could turn without lag and i could play armored fury and have a tank battle on the highway and all three of them blow up and i wouldnt see any lag. There is no way you can tell me either that with how far ive overclocked my cpu i wont see a difference. Ohh man could i tell the difference agian it was like light and day again. My whole computer was maybe 50 times faster, well it felt like it to me.

As you quoted, I stated you will now SEE any difference...as is VISUAL STIMULATION OF RODS & CONES OF THE RETINA TRANSMITTED VIA THE RETINAL NERVE TO THE BRAIN WHERE THE ELECTRICAL IMPULSES ARE DECODED AND INTERPRETED INTO WHAT WE CALL "SIGHT".

YOu realize each single core is only running at 2.0Ghz don't you.

Agreed again, respecting opinion while being an O/C'ing fan himself.

You now jump in saying to O/C because of the dual core, which is odd, because that is my point that a dual core is not going to help in BF2, my argument is that the 2.0Ghz is fast enough. Yet you keep going...

If overclocking isn't your thing then by all means don't do it. Some of us like the challenge and learning experience, not just getting an FX62 for < $400.

You come in here misinterpretting what Jimmy was trying to say, then get all high and mighty. Your arguments aren't helpful or welcomed here.

Yeah like the visual stimulation of my rod.. I get when reading a review that clearly shows an increase in gaming performance while overclocking the processor?

Just a note for people that have SLI and Crossfire rigs... The processor is indeed a bottleneck when it comes to gaming and you will see an even greater performance increase when using a dual card system. IndianScout should know this, but then we all know that he's a novice to the tech section and possible overclocking as a whole.

Unlike you I don't have to go through the entire thread and take quotes out of context while pretending they are in fact supporting your claims.
