    Opteron 165 for sure.
    the 1MB cache for each core instead the 512K of the 3800 it makes a difference for me. And this monster will oc like hell. I run it 24/7 to 3060 Mhz (helped by water though :))

      I was hoping that was true as well, but you still can't take a picture or record a movie without a severe peformance hit or stuttering. But tweaking the fps setting in the movie category makes it so you can record while you play and it's pretty stable. So its only partially true unfortunately.

        The 2006 3800 X2 are a better bet than 165s, unless you get a CCB1E or CBBEE. It's because a lot of 3800 X2s are Opteron 170 CCB1Es with disabled cache.

          You need to run BF2 on core 1 and other programs you use while gaming on core 0.

              Go download prioaff.exe from here:

              I use it to run BF2 to force it to run at normal priority on cpu 1 with the following short cut

              C:\WINDOWS\prioaff\prioaff.exe 2 10 "C:\Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

              To run on both cpu's at realtime priority

              C:\WINDOWS\prioaff\prioaff.exe 3 11 "C:\Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

              And to force it to run at realtime priority on cpu 1

              C:\WINDOWS\prioaff\prioaff.exe 3 10 "C:\Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

              To use different priorities change the number following the exe.
              0 = Idle
              1 = low
              2 = normal
              3 = realtime

              Eg: C:\WINDOWS\prioaff\prioaff.exe 0 ( would run idle priority )

              To pick what cpu / core it runs on change the 2nd number after the exe.

              01 = run on cpu 0
              10 = run on cpu 1
              11 = run on both

              Eg: C:\WINDOWS\prioaff\prioaff.exe 0 01 ( run idle priority on cpu 0 )

              *WARNING* users of single cpu systems should never use the realtime priority if you do expect to do a hard reset.
