i did listen to their advice, thats why i delayed in buying it but when i saw test results comparing this CPU with P4s and AMD duel cores, there wasnt much of a jump in performance so.....and it was cheaper

Intel has price/performance for dual core currently, but their dual cores are not all that fast compared to the competition. I echo the notion that buying Intel before Core 2/Conroe is a stupid move.

which manufacturer will be making Conroe? Intel or AMD? and its a duel core CPU right? i never heard of it so i guess thats why I bought the Intel, LMAO

Intel makes Conroe, and yes it is dual core.
