Yeah, you'll get MANY differing opinions on mice because they are SO important to playing FPS style games.

There is a mouse out there for everyone.

Personally, I'd LOVE to try every gaming mouse on the market for a week and THEN choose..but I don't have that luxury

I just can stand most of the logitec mices. They are too small and low for me. My intellimouse explorer is pretty high, which suits my hand perfect.

And talus, i have tried the mx1000. My mum has one upstairs, but i didn't like it. Too low for me.

I have the Logitech LX700 mouse and keyboard combo, and i have no problems with it.
Now if you go to LAN parties i would recommned wire set up, as everyones **** will interfere with yours and it might be a pain the ass.

There are wireless mice and then there are wireless mice; not all are created equal.

In particular, stay away from Bluetooth mice. They are definitely less responsive than wireless units that use a dedicated frequency and have their own base unit.

Generally speaking, the more recent wireless units perform better than older models.

That said, I use a Razer Copperhead and wouldn't use anything else.
