    Help a brotha' out!

I'm confused, when people say SATA 1.5gbs, is that Serial ATA 150 or w/e? And is Serial ATA, SATA?

    Serial ATA = SATA

Thats SATA I (1.5gbps), SATA II goes 3.0gbps
Basically the I and II stands for gen I and gen II.

If anyone else can correct me, great, but I'm pretty sure I'm right :)

Close, they don't actually transfer at that speed, that's only the speed the interface is capable of. SATA 3.0gb/s is no faster than SATA 1.5gb/s.

Yep, the transfer speed is limited by the speed of the actual disk. So the same 7200 RPM drive in Sata I and Sata II flavors will transfer at the same speed. It would be the same as a 6800 GT in APG and one in PCIexpress. They are the both equal despite the type of interface.
