    ATI or Nvidia?

What are you, an Ati person or an nvidia person?

    Or neither...?

    Re: ATI or Nvidia?

nVidia for two reasons. OpenGL support is superior on nvidia cards, and nvidia's support for Linux is far better than ATI.

one thing about higher end ati cards though is that they can load high def resolution and anti aliasing at the same time with nvidia cant

no, its not high def RESOLUTION and AA at the same time, the x1800 and x1900 can do Anti aliasing and High Def LIGHTING. nvidia can only do one or the other, but those two ATi cards can do both at the same time. that being said, i vote for nvidia. because except for the x1900xtx (the greatest card ever) all other nvidia cards own all other ATi cards for the price, and have SM 3.0 as low at the 6000 series. (and the x1900xtsx might be the greatest card ever, but it heats up like a bitch)

Mostly true, but there are some games (currently only the source based ones) that can do hdr+aa on nvidia hardware.

I voted Nvidia because I like Green better than Red.
