Yes, but doesn't support newer shaders and is pretty old tech. I'm not sure if you just have to have ATI, but they really don't compete in the mid range market.

The 6800GS vs GT? Nothing really. They are about the same performance. The GT is just older, but does support the same shaders.

the 7600 GT is much better then the 7600 GS, the GS is about the same as a 6800 or 6600 card. Just go the with 7600GT, i just ordered that card and it should be good. I would recommend getting an eVGA 7600GT, becuase they have a really great warrenty. too my shop didnt have it in stock! i had to get the xfx one.

The 7600 GT is about 25% faster if not more than the GS. It has higher clock speeds. It's well worth it.

Just go with the 7600GT dude, its one of the best price/performance cards on the market right now, and well inside of your budget.
