Those video cards are not meant for gaming! I know a guy who does a lot of 3d ling & such, his pc has 2 gigs of ram, fx-57 proc, and an nVidia quadro fx 4****, We installed HL2 on it and it got less than 20 FPS most of the time. :|:

Precisley, they are for CAD and 3d moddeling/rendering. They can obtain amazing resoloutions, but arent that powerfull. They have a lot of RAM to deal with the large CAD files but dont have the brute forcfe to back that up.

Empty the cache, if it doesn't work, reinstall bf2.

Where do I empty the cache? Can't say i've ever done that for BF2 before

Just go here:
C:\Documents and Settings\*your login name*\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

And empty the folder.

Just emptied the cache... went into the video.con file to set the res to 1280x1024 and after the EAGames and DICE entry, the game shuts down. This is a nightmare

Welcome to the nightmare that is bf2. Since I really don't have any other tips, all I can tell you to do is completely reinstall it.

Of course. I don't know the correct order though. As long as you only have vanilla its just
vanilla
then full patch.

Otherwise, its
vanilla

1.22 full patch

yep, just vanilla over here. going through 3rd disk for the install now, and after that I will have to download the patch again.

Just make sure it's the 380mb one, not the <10mb.

Downloading now..... Will post here when I have it installed, the computer restarted, and given another shot.

With the computer setup I have, what settings would you recommend I can run? I assumed I could go high on all.

Yeah, that would be an understatement. It should run high 1600x1200 4xaa easily.
