Re: Quadro FX3400 - 1680x1050 Resolution
Have you tried the shortcut editing method?
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050 -

Re: Quadro FX3400 - 1680x1050 Resolution
I have not. I'll do that now! Will post back the results shortly
I was just thinking..... can you do this method to make use of dual monitors with BF2? Becuase with both of my monitors enabled, my resolution is: 3360 x 1050. That'd be so sweet!
Looks like the shortcut doesn't work. I just tried it and my computer just flashes a black screen once, and nothing happens. Well damnComment

Quadro FX 3400 - Please Help !
I just got a new computer and am having nasty problems with trying to get BF2 to run smooth. Here is my setup:
Dual 2.6xeon processors
3GB Ram
Quadro FX 3400 Card
My problem is that I'm trying to get BF2 to run at the absoulte best performance and have the best quality (Shouldn't have a problem with the computer and card I have)
Even when I set up up the the video settings to be just all medium, I can't even move my character without it being extremely chopping and ugly image quality.
I have my monitor hooked up via: DVI Cable as well.
Any suggestions? I need to get this thing to run, and run goodComment

Re: Quadro FX 3400 - Please Help !
Your vid card is not really a gaming card, it's more for cad applications. It compares to a 6800GT, but slightly less performance.
What resolution are you trying to run BF2 at?
With that card, IMO go for 1024X768 medium settings.

Re: Quadro FX 3400 - Please Help !
I tried going for 1280x768 at Medium but it doesn't do any justice. I can't even walk in the game.Comment

strange, do you have any virus/ spyware checkers. if so do they find anything?
Defrag your HDD. make sure you don't have numerous processes running in the background.Comment

Re: Quadro FX 3400 - Please Help !
I'm doing a massive defrag right now as well as running all the spyware progams I own. Do you think it would be a case of me using DVI Cables and not the VGA cables?Comment

Re: Quadro FX 3400 - Please Help !
I run my monitor through DVi with no issues.
How fragmented is your HDD?Comment

Re: Quadro FX 3400 - Please Help !
Quite Fragmented :-) I'll let you know when it's done fragmenting how the game performs. I know when I ran BF2 on my previous PC, it wouldn't run well with DVI Cables, but ran great with VGA cables. Who knows why, haha.
So the Quadro FX 3400 PCI Express card will not allow me to run BF2 in it's full glory?Comment

Re: Quadro FX 3400 - Please Help !
Sadly no, to run int full/ better I would suggest a 78/7900 card from Nvidia(or the ATi equivalents )Comment
