Re: Quadro FX 3400 - Please Help !

They can yes.. They are amazing cards.. very amazing and running two of them will mean that you will be able to use the dual moniters, have a game running on one, and programs on the other.. measuring temps, TS, msn, AIM.. etc etc.. list goes on.. And since you have a dual core CPu, your computer will have no problem keeping up.

I don't have a dual core CPU though.... I have Dual 3.6 Xeons..... not dual core. Will this be a problem? I need to make sure I can make full use of two of these graphics cards before I purchase them and find that I can't do it :-) Are they the top of the market right now? I'm desperate to see BF2 the way it is supposed to look

Sorry, i remembered something about dual.. lol.. Dual CPU's is far far better than Dual Core.. they will be great.. and will run fantastically. Yes they are the top of the market.. and i would suggest the x1900XTX and x1900XT CE, but Crossfire is not as good at the moment as SLi.. lots os problems.. but you mey need a new Mopbo.. i can't remember if you said your was SLi capable or not..

Yea, my motherboard is SLi Capable. This is exciting! I was worried that I would have to build a whole seperate gaming PC if I wanted to game with the best graphics.

Would you be able to give me your input on these two versions of the 7900GTX?

          Version 1:

          Version 2:

OK.. well different companies put out the same card.. this helps to keep the prices down and stuff.. but they run the card at different clock and memory speeds...They are both great companies, and both well trusted.. ok.. as look at the Clock Speed and Memory Speed, and look at the waranty, then at the price... these are the only differences.. they also use different cooling units.. so read the reviews and just see which one poeple like more.. and make sure that no one has said anything like "This card has a really loud/whining fan" etc..

Wouldn't BFG be the better choice being as they are more established? I seem to see them more than the other company

GeForce isn't the brand. It's XFX in the first one, and BFG the second. The best company to buy from is EVGA. Why are you going on Ebay for it?

Another thing.. i would not suggest gettin git off Ebay.. depending on what country you live in there are many good sites and companies that will give you great deals.. extended warranties, rebates and good reviews.. etc etc.. if you live in gthe us www.newegg.com is good.. if you live elsewhere, just say and someone on here will know what companies are good there..

Yeah, i'm in the US. Now it's just a matter of deciding which card is better - and if I can make use of SLi with dual monitors

                    so many to choose from!

I would suggest either of these two..

The second one is stock overclocked, which is why its more expensive.

Just reading reviews now and looking like BFG is pulling ahead of the others with all the reviews. Why would you choose eVGA over BFG? I noticed people running 1 of these cards is doing 4xAA...if I run two of these in SLi, is this meaning I can double the AA to 8x's? If so... isn't that the absoulte best the game can run? LOL

EVGA has the best warranty hands down and a step up program where you can trade in your old cards for newly released ones within 90 days of purchase.

That's interesting! I'm just trying to figure out if a Dell Precision 670 can run two of these monsters with ease. Suggestions there? I don't know much about cooling, power, etc.. If you go to dell and look at the specs on the Precision 670, do you see anything that could stop me from having two cards ?

Ok.. the CPU's are great, you have Heaps of RAM, so thats good.. umm.. my only question would be your PSU.. I think these cards use external power.. but ill try to find that out and get back to you... but the rest of your system is great.

Looking forward to your response! I just don't want to be suprised when I get two of these cards and find out I can't run them both. And I dont' know enough about hardware to know the answer. Your help is greatly appreciated! Think I should go with overclocked eVGA over standard? Both had about the same reviews.
