Hello Games released their "Worlds Part 2" update for No Man's Sky this past week. This is the second half of their massive, and aptly named, "Worlds Part 1" update that dropped in July 2024. Latest expedition offers a chance to get your very own space whale.

No Man's Sky "Leviathan" is the latest expedition to arrive for space adventurers. Leviathan adds in some interesting new game mechanics for players to work their way through, including a little time looping and space whales.

I suppose technically, they aren't whales, but they are in space. They are alien leviathan creatures, but they have already been come to be seen as space whales by the community....

The No Man's Sky developer isn't quite ready to talk about it just yet though.

Hello Games is working on a new project that is apparently so ambitious it would "seem impossible" even with a team of 1,000 members. This is according to Hello Games' co-founder Sean Murray in a brief interview with IGN.

Murray says that what they have been working on since at least September 2021 is not a sequel to No Man's Sky. It is, however, just as ambitious a project.
