Total Gaming League Wolfenstein Championship Update

This just in from the Total Gaming League:

The Total Gaming League Intel Wolfenstein Championship has entered round 4, with 8 teams left, 5 of which are going home with cash in their pockets.

The match ups for Round 4 are as follows:

Team fx vs rePulse Gaming
Team Dignitas vs hubris
Team Cross Breed vs Team Affliction
mASCULINE_MANS vs Fate

With the home team, Affliction and the always competitive Team Dignitas as heavy favorites to win the tourney, both teams will need to be firing on all cylinders to get through the quarter and semi-finals.

In the quarter finals, Team Dignitas will face team Hubris who asserted themselves as the #1 North American Quake Wars team and Team fX (a team composed of RTCW veterans), while Team Affliction will have to battle through Crossbreed and the winner of mASCULINE_MANS (a top 3 Enemy Territory Team) and FATE, an established Quake Wars team.

Manor is a map where bad spawn times can make or break you. Tune into Gamefire tomorrow night at 9:30 EST to get in on all of the action as Hubris takes on Team Dignitas.

Re: Total Gaming League Wolfenstein Championship Update

Wednesday night we saw an intense quarter final match up on hospital in the Intel id/Activision Wolfenstein Championship between Team Dignitas and Hubris.

Dignitas being a UK based team definitely had the ping disadvantage as they were playing on an east coast us server, but they didn't let that deter them.

Starting off on the defense, Hubris's strong defense held Team Dignitas for 6:13. However, on attack, the Euro powerhouse managed to full hold team hubris after a couple of successful defuses on the lower door. In the second round, team hubris regrouped and managed to blow the door will relative ease, but then the experience of Team Dignitas took over holding them for 5:17 and then beating that time on attack and taking the match 2-0.

In the other quarter finals matches we saw Affliction beating Crossbreed and Team Fate beating Masculine Mans in straight sets, as well as Team fX picking up a forfeit win vS repulse.

Be sure to tune into Gamefire at 9:30 EST this Sunday, October 11th for Wolfenstein semi-final action as the four remaining teams battle it out for #1.
