Ever since the ill-fated E.T. The Extra Terrestrial was launched on the Atari 2600, movie games have never been something to look forward to. Apart from Spider-Man and a few other comic book characters (Superman not included), these games are usually rushed out to meet the deadline of the movie itself, not accommodating the developers schedule, often resulting in very poor quality titles.

While it is easy to blame movies for creating some gaming trash, we have never done the film industry any favors either. Abominations such as Super Mario Bros., Street Fighter, Bloodrayne and many, many others have been all been critical failures (I'm looking at you, Mr. Boll). We feel it's time we help directors out, so we have compiled a list of ten games we feel would be fit for cinemas worldwide.
10. Grand Theft Auto IV
Rockstar's crown jewel could wow Roger Ebert with its script and storyline. Mind-blowing action sequences, a diverse cast of characters, and an imaginative plot-line made for a very immersive experience. The world of Liberty City deserves to be re-created and re-told in New York. While it might seem like a stretch, Steven Spielberg has a high interest in gaming and would be able to make a spectacle out of this. Here's to hoping. Now, who could play Bernie?
