Music in Gaming - Bang Camaro

Total Gaming Network is happy to continue our Music in Gaming series today with our next featured band. We have paired up with Artwerk, a dedicated music label for Electronic Arts, to bring our community closer to the bands that you can hear in EA titles. Each month we will feature a new band on our site that has their music in all the latest EA games. Throughout the month the band is featured, we will stream exclusive tracks, offer free downloads when available, and conduct interviews with the bands. All of this is in an effort to connect the gamers to the bands and vice versa. So without further ado, we'd like to present this month's featured band:
    Bang Camaro

The band released their self-titled album in February 2007, which was simply a collection of the songs they had released themselves on the internet. "We were surprised how many people still wanted the CD format." explains Bennett, "So we decided to create a record label to sell the CDs ourselves, online and at shows." Released on their own Black Sword Records imprint, the album went on to sell a respectable 8,000 copies without traditional distribution. In addition, video game songs "Push Push (Lady Lightning)" and "Pleasure (Pleasure)" went on to top over 300,000 in iTunes sales.

The band went on to have their music featured in "Rock Band," "Rock Band 2," "Titan Quest," and "Phase." Demand for Bang Camaro grew, with the band performing at high profile festival events such as Summerfest, Wakarusa, and kicking off Lollapalooza in 2008. They returned to Boston in the summer and continued work on their next album.

    Featured Track: Blood Red Rock

Like what you hear? You can learn more about the band by visit either their official website or MySpace page. Be sure to check out the main page for future updates on this band located within our right menu under the box Music in Gaming.

Along with providing new tracks throughout the month for this band, we'd also like to involve the community a bit. If you have any questions for the band Bang Camaro, post them in this thread. We will be collecting questions to use in an interview later this month. The questions can range from general info about the band or more specific questions regarding their involvement with games. Ask away!

Q: Since having your music featured in several games do you find that more people are recognizing you from that medium as opposed to live concerts or on-air play?

Q: What is each of your favorite game that your music also happened to be featured in?

Nearly reminiscent of Guns N' Roses or something. Quite good.

Congrats on where you've gotten so far! And I always appreciate people/artists/bands who can do their own thing and have the go-getting energy to get it out to the masses.

If you got Rock Band for the PS3, I'll definitely play with you.

I've actually been listening to these guys for a while after I heard them in Guitar Hero 2 (I'm pretty sure it was Guitar Hero 2, but I might be wrong).

                        Here's some questions:
                        • How do you manage to get all your band members in one place to record or play live?
                        • How did you become a reoccurring artist on the Guitar Hero/Rock Band franchise? I know one of your members actually works at Harmonix if memory serves me correctly.
                        • If there was one upcoming game that your music could be featured in, what would it be?
