The Fight Night franchise has been a fan favorite since 2004, but unlike the once-a-year titles like Madden and NBA Live where the roster changes drastically every year, Fight Night games have been on a three-year hiatus since Round 3’s 2006 release.

The menu and loading screens have a great feeling to them, created by the design, which is a combination of sepia, gold, and glitz. The flashing bulbs and gold lettering announce the return of the most exciting boxing franchise on the market. This entry touts the largest roster of boxers ever in a Fight Night game, including Forman, Ali, and even Tyson. No it uses the new total punch control with the analog sticks.

Sorry I didn't address this better in my write-up; buttons are strictly push, grapple, cheap-shot, and signature punch. Honestly, the joystick control feels pretty solid and adds a lot of challenge to the experience.

I played the demo and I found it really hard to play, Skate 2 has the same controls and at 1st it was insane to pull of moves but after awhile I was able to do it.

I played the demo and I LOVED the analog stick punching system. Pretty much the closest thing to really punching in a boxing game minus the arcade or Wii type games where you literally punch and move.

I agree with eldri about not being quite sure how I'm doing against my opponent. After playing a few times, I started to get down the bobbing, weaving, clenching my opponent to rest, pushing him back off, jab jab, bam! But, even after all of that starting to feel natural, and being quite fun, it was hard to tell if it was having any more of an effect then I was playing it the first time... I mean, I would win unanimous decisions, but give me that knockout son!

yeah, there's def a learning curve. I imagine Skate 2 would be a bit more responsive and more frustrating.

I know! I only got about 4 during the 20 or so matches I played, but I was trying every time. When I did manage one, I was wondering why that punch had caused that damage...

Hay maker counter punches! They really do seem to reward counter punches, and of course, throwing with the extra strength makes it even better.

I win through attrition. Most of my matches last until 6 rounds or more due to the fact that I conserve stamina while draining theirs.

The lower your stamina, the more you can be damaged from even the weakest blows. One clean blow on a tired opponent causes them to red zone, which is when you can score a good knock out.

This is why Body Shots are so important now.

So I take it by 6 rounds, you mean you have the full game? I had made a post here asking if people were purchasing, but there are usually more Xboxers on here than PS3 peeps, so that's part of the lack of posts.

If you did get it, how is it? Worth purchasing? I've got a few other things I want to buy right now gameage wise, so I have to smart with what I choose to get.

I did the community event and actually got to play full rounds. The demo is too short, and I can't really force myself to play it...

I can't really go into full details as of yet, but if EA Sports permits, I'll be the one doing the review when the game is going to come out.

I will say one thing though. What I played, is enough to convince me to say, yes, you will want to buy this game. I just hope the retail version is equally exciting as the one I played was.
