Tuesday morning I headed out bright and early to attend the Nintendo Press Conference arriving almost two hours ahead of time to snag the primo seats. Luckily the good folks from Nintendo kept us entertained with trivia about Nintendo and their games as well as much appreciated coffee and caffeinated beverages.
At the Press Conference I was really interested in hearing about the latest hardware and titles Nintendo would be releasing in the future. The huge popularity of the Wii reflects a growing player base which has emerged and embraced the console, AKA “the casual gamer.” I wondered if Nintendo would also start catering more to hardcore gamers with a Wii-HD or release more mature titles.
