  • MadWorld Review

Our latest review here on Total Gaming Network has staff writer ThQp entering the blood-soaked world of SEGA's beat'em up game MadWorld. Here's the intro to the article:
For over two years, hardcore gamers have been dying to get their fix using the Wii console. Unfortunately, the system has been plagued by games that were half-heartedly developed and lack depth, often resulting in bargain bins full of titles. Even Nintendo has failed to deliver, presenting the same line-up of games that has been used for the past three decades. Luckily, the team at Platinum Games has teamed up with SEGA to deliver what has been promised to be the best Wii experience around. Has the hype made MadWorld an unachievable dream, or will hardcore gamers finally get what they've been asking for? Read more...

A delicious meat pie a la Sweeney Todd.

Fiancee and I rented it and immediately fell in love with it. It's such an under-appreciated game.

How you can say that it has a good story and then sum it up with literally one sentance makes very little sense at all.

It's a good, decent story for an over the top gorefest. Not the most complex, of course.

But like Zips said, we rented it, and I love it. I'll definitely put the money down to buy it sometime. Sadly, it's so under-appreciated to the point that we have sold maybe two or three copies at the store I work at.

I heard this game only sold a paltry 66,000 copies. The wii's userbase is 40 million plus, so dayum this game didn't recieve any love.

I thought Yahtzee's review would have sparked some interest for the game, but he wasn't really all that positive about it. Sega's appeal to "hardcore" gamers didn't work as well as they expected.

They probably appealed to the hardcore gamer just fine...but out of the 40 million plus wii users, I bet the hardcore wii gamer makes up around 66,000 people.

yea most people getting the Wii are putting it in the closet only getting it out for when they feel ashamed so they workout on Wii Fit or play WiiSports.
