Must buy for anybody with the slightest interest in racing games.

I can't wait to pick it up for the PC.

9.5 is far too generous, I'd give it an 8-8.5 score, as it has practically no reaplay value unless you like racing to the same 6 places all the time (which is what the story mode consists of)

I'd say 8.5 is a bit too high even. Like Moobs said, gets very old, very quick.

I played the demo on PS3 and it was okay I'm just not into the whole open world street racing sort of stuff. But with the constant DLC being released I can see how it can stay interesting.

Yea, but look at that DLC, it doesn't really add new dimensions to the game, it merely just adds to boredom already there.

Saying that, for the first few hours, it's a fun game

I have 20 hours in it and I don't see it slowing down yet. It is what it is and it does a very good job doing it. If you ever want to pick up a race, Burnout is there with some new twist. If you really play all aspects of the game (all the game modes, online, road rules, challenges, easter eggs), it really does last for quite some time.

I find the races are very repetitive.

Well... a race does generally have a start and a finish... But there are also Stunt Run and Road Rage events to liven things up.

And here I thought you liked racing games. :P

I find racing games may have repetition, but so long as the gameplay is interesting, minimal changes in environment will do little to deter me from playing the game. Hell, I usually have a few favorite tracks that I focus most of my playtime on, so I don't see this as a problem.

Also, Kirk you should try Forza/ Forza 2 as they are pretty well made. A little more technical and less user-friendly than Burnout, but still great racing games.
