    Our latest review here on Total Gaming Network has our staff writer Eldri looking at Ubisoft's latest entry into their hit series, Prince of Persia. Here's the intro to the article:
    The Prince of Persia franchise, brainchild of Jordan Mechner, stretches back to 1989. In the original game, Mechner paid specific detail to the animation of the human body and gained substantial praise for achieving life-like movements. His design became a benchmark for animations as gaming entered the final stretch of the 20th century.

    Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame was released four years after the original and continues the story from the first. Both find their roots in 1,001 (Arabian) Night by borrowing elements from the fable of Aladdin’s plot. Gameplay is similar, if a bit more combat oriented. Half a decade later, the final entry into the first Prince’s saga, Prince of Persia 3-D was released as an all-too-buggy mess for PC; the Sega Dreamcast received a less-buggy version shortly thereafter, though camera and control issues still held the port back.     :rawr In my opinion, the old prince from the Sands of Time trilogy is a better character. The new prince just kind of aggravates me regardless of his picaresque nature. Kill him off I say!
