The Total War tournament has officially reopened its doors today under a new game: Crysis Wars. Check out the announcement below:
NORTH KOREA INVADES
Two regiments cross DMZ into South Korean territory.
SEOUL, South Korea-- At approximately 2:00am KST today, two light infantry regiments of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korean Army moved south through the Korean Demilitarized Zone.
This act of aggression marks the first interdiction of North Korean troops into the DMZ since the Fifth Tunnel Incident more than four years ago. Since then, numerous military reduction pacts have been signed, significantly decreasing both nations military capabilities and alertness.
The two regiments, consisting of an estimated 6,000 total troops, met little resistance from South Korean troops, due to recent withdrawal of two divisions from the 38th Parallel Command. Initial reports indicate that after moving through the DMZ, the regiments headed east toward the city of Sokcho, a port town of 80,000 inhabitants.
There has been no report yet of any fighting in or around Sokcho. We will be bringing you updates around the clock here as the situation escalates.
