  • Total Gaming TV Staff Positions Open!

    With the creation Total Gaming TV, the newest part of TGN, the TGTV staff are in need of some dedicated members to help us get started. These staff members should have a passion for all things game related and dedicated to the work they do with TGTV. The following is a list of the basic requirements we would like each new staff member to have:
    • Age 18 or older
    • Passionate about Gaming
    • Previous experience in the field is recommended but not required
    • Ability to meet set deadlines for projects
    • Ability to work well in a team and follow direction
    • Able to represent TGN to the best of your abilities
    • Have an interest in Broadcasting or be a student/professional/hobbyist of broadcasting or similar field of study

    Below we have listed the positions that TGTV is looking for, along with a brief description and list of qualifications for each position. If you're interested in any position, click the "Apply Now" link related to the position and fill in the following information:

    Assistant Director
    The Assistant Director works closely with the Director (Zweibz7) and other assistant directors, focusing his/her time on the production of a show during live streaming. This person is responsible for management of the TGTV Studio Interface (through mogulus), through which he/she will transition from live camera feeds to recorded videos, as well as adding overlays and other messages where appropriate.

    Requirements for candidates for the position of Assistant Director, in addition to those listed above for all applicants:
    • Skills in teamwork and cooperation
    • The ability to work in pressure situations
    • Flexibility and ability to handle changes in plans effectively
    • Experience working with broadcasts of some type (radio, podcasts, tv, online feeds) is preferred but not required


    On-Site Host
    The On-Site Host is responsible for bringing TGTV coverage to local events around his/her area. This person will bring a camera/microphone to local events (Large LAN parties, expos, small get-togethers, etc.) and bring coverage for TGTV, including interviews with participants, recaps of any tournaments/events that take place, and other tasks at the discretion of the Director/Associate Director.

    Requirements for candidates for the position of On-Site Host, in addition to those listed above for all applicants:
    • Skills in teamwork and cooperation
    • Ownership of a portable camera (camcorder preferred over "webcam") and computer with wireless capability
    • Ability to drive to areas in region to cover events
    • On-Camera experience preferred, but not required


    Camera Operator
    The Camera Operator position is intended for the candidate who is not as interested in being "on-camera," but who still would like to help bring live feeds of local events (Large LAN parties, expos, small get-togethers, etc.) to TGTV. While this position is not a "on-camera" position, any applicants should be aware that at the discretion of the Director, Associate Director, or Producer, they may be asked to perform some "on-camera" actions (interviews, etc.), with the knowledge that this will not be the focus of the person's time. Most of the time will be spent behind the camera, showing live streaming coverage of an event as it unfolds (press conference, for example).

    Requirements for candidates for the position of Camera Operator, in addition to those listed above for all applicants:
    • Skills in teamwork and cooperation
    • Ownership of a portable camera (camcorder preferred over "webcam") and computer with wireless capability
    • Ability to drive to areas in region to cover events
    • Experience in camera operation preferred, but not required


    E-Sports Analyst
    The E-Sports Analyst will be the host of the weekly "E-SportsCenter" segment of TGTV, a weekly update on the E-Sports scene, including updates from major leagues/tournaments (TGL, CAL, CEVO, Clanbase, etc.) and other events that occur. The show will also include interviews with both players and administrators from these tournaments, and coverage of any other major news related to E-Sports.

    Requirements for candidates for the position of E-Sports Analyst, in addition to those listed above for all applicants:
    • Skills in teamwork and cooperation
    • Ownership of a camera and computer (portability not necessary).
    • Experience with E-Sports (participation in/administration for) tournaments/leagues is required
    • On-Camera experience is preferred but not required


    Video Editor
    The position of Video Editor requires no live work. This person is responsible for editing, cutting, and all-together "cleaning up" live recordings, and preparing them for upload to TGTV's "On-Demand" playlist. This person must work closely with the Producer, Director, and Associate Directors to assure that quality standards are met in video editing.

    Requirements for candidates for [the position of Camera Operator, in addition to those listed above for all applicants:
    • Skills in teamwork and cooperation
    • Ownership and knowledge of high-level video editing software (NOT Windows Movie Maker, think Adobe Premier Pro, Sony Vegas or something similar)
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Experience in video editing required (must be able to show work examples)


    Please note that all these positions are volunteer positions. Candidates accepted may receive perks associated with the job (giveaways at events, etc), but there is no official compensation for these positions.
