Re: New Systems Section Opens
We can think about adding a subforum for guides if the demand is great enough for one. Just post them in the regular section for now though.
And the console news will show up on the main page, I just have to finish working on the feeds. Eventually the main TGN page will be changed to include PC and console sections where the news will display as well. :)
We could possible use new staff in the future. We'll see how it goes.Originally posted by therealmatIt is pure :awesomesauce
Is any staff needed for the new ps3 section?
Thanks for the heads up, I added prefixes for the PC and consoles as well as an other prefix in case it's needed.Originally posted by XodusWe can't submit news, I've already tried... But it's not working since you can't choose a prefix for x360
Keep any feedback coming you guys. :salute:Comment

Re: New Systems Section Opens
I still think it should be below the game communities, as this is what TGN was originally created for, no?Comment

Re: New Systems Section Opens
Yes, originally it was designed as a place for community sites. But with our growing audience and the growing popularity of consoles, things change. It deserves to be at the top because it encompasses all of gaming on multiple platforms and not just game specific boards. The game communities are still right below it, what's wrong with scrolling down a few more clicks to get to them? :|:Originally posted by WizrdwartsI still think it should be below the game communities, as this is what TGN was originally created for, no?Comment

Re: New Systems Section Opens
It might cause blisters on their fingers with all that extra scrolling. :p
We have just opened up the threads for posting your account information for the systems. For those of you who posted your ID's in our old thread your information has been copied but please check to make sure all your ids are spelled correctly.

Re: New Systems Section Opens
Effectively, the communities part has been.. in a way killed.
Unless you guys decide to move all the communities into the PC section, while having an open PC forum within it. But keeping TGFX, off-topic etc outside.
Great addition though, consoles are starting to kick some major *** these days.Comment

Re: New Systems Section Opens
You guys make it sound like the gaming communities just got killed because they are a few clicks lower.
You must keep in mind many different things and look at it from a new user perspective. For instance, a new user will see the links to different TGN sites on the nav bar above everything else before even seeing the forums. They will also see the different Total sites highlighted on the TGN main page. Also, on top of all that, I would bet that 80% or more of the users we currently have, found TGN THROUGH one of the total sites - not the other way around. Many people will find the game their interested in, google something about it, and find their total site, therefore finding TGN afterwords.
The difference is that the people who actually care that gaming communities is a little lower are the people (like myself) who look at the TGN forum index like 40 times a day and think that that little move will hinder their popularity, just because it takes us a few more clicks to get to, when that is not the case. :thumbsup:Comment

Re: New Systems Section Opens
Well, to be fair, the Systems section is 4 forums long, and Game Communities has 12 forums.Comment

Re: New Systems Section Opens
I don't know who moved that there but I moved it to the xbox 360 area. If the game is on multiple systems, just pick one and post about it in there, it's pretty simple.ZOMG teh internets have exploded cause there are new forums!
